Eleanor & Rosette

After a few months since Sally passed away and a month since Patricia had passed, the mouse house just didn't feel full anymore, it felt like there was a big mousey hole left by Patricia and Sally. I decided to add some more mice to the mouse house to give the girls some more friends and cuddle buddies.

I got in contact with the breeder that I bought Bonita from and bought two sisters, Eleanor and Rosette (Ellie & Rosie for short). The babies were in an isolation cage away from the other mice in a different room to make sure that they weren't sick and that they wouldn't infect the others with anything. Ellie and Rosie spent two weeks in the isolation cage before I started introductions with the other mice, starting with the ones who would be more friendly and easy going with them. They slowly then transitioned all the way to the big mouse cage and with their new house buddies. Ellie and Rosie have been loving eating all of the treats in the cage and have learned to sprint away with the best treats before the big ones can get to it. They are easy to handle but still like to make a run for it when they see me coming into the room. I can't wait to get to know them better, and let them know me better so we can have a great friendship :).
